Shefit Ultimate Sports Bra | Product Review

I’m so excited to share this product review video with you! I’ve been spreading the gospel of Shefit to anyone who will listen over the past year. I know it’s a bit long, but I feel very strongly about this sport bra! Hopefully you’ll find this post very informative and have all your questions answered. I’ve been on an active (pun intended!) hunt for the perfect sport bra for over a decade. I graduated from cheap, nylon styles (that have their time and place) to a high quality, highly rated sports bra right around the time I graduated from high school. It worked great, but I found myself needing to buy a few different sizes and styles as my weight fluctuated and my shape changed. Many retail for about $40-50 in specialty stores and on company websites and, even if you can find them in-store or online for half price, the cost adds up quickly.

Admittedly, I’m at this weird crossroads of both having too many sports bras, because I hoard them, and also feeling I never have enough since my bra size goes up and down often and I do so many different sports. I keep my options open and my eyes peeled, but I wasn’t exactly looking for a new bra when I came across Shefit. I kind of stumbled upon it.

I’d never heard of the company before, though it was featured on Shark Tank in early 2016 (I don’t watch a ton of TV). I happened to come across their vendor booth at the Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle 8K Health & Fitness Expo 2017 when I went to pick up my race packet. They had brand representatives approaching participants and fitting people for both the Ultimate Sports Bra and the Perfect Lounge Bra. The bras were colorful and the employees were friendly. I’m pretty good about politely walking away from salespeople, but I was very intrigued and they roped me in.

They were mostly demonstrating by placing their bras over people’s clothing (in all the demo videos I’ve seen so far, you still see people putting on the bras over minimal bras), but there was also the option to pop into one of their privacy tents to try them on. One of the employees measured me and said I should be in a 1Luxe (I think my bra size was about a 42D back then) but I did not come to the same conclusion after actually trying it on without any other layers. At the time I was larger than I am now and found that a 1Luxe did fit and gave full coverage, but I was intending to lose some weight soon and also preferred a little less modesty. A Luxe worked much better for me and still fits after dropping 20 pounds (closer to a 38C now). I feel I could continue to lose weight and keep wearing this for a while before I would feel it’s too large.

The smallest I’ve been in recent-ish memory was a 36B and I’m tempted to say this would work, though it would likely give similar results to the way in which the 1Luxe fit when I was fluffier. It might not be ideal, but it would get the job done. And, quite honestly, that’s pretty versatile! I’d normally cycle through about 5 of my other bras to accommodate those kinds of chest changes.

Shefit currently sells the Ultimate Sport Bra online for $64. I believe that’s similar pricing as what it was last year, maybe just a little more, and I was thinking about giving it some thought before buying. However, they had specialty, in-person pricing that was simply too good to pass up. It was $55 each for 1 or, I think, $50 each for 2. I seriously would have bought 2 on the spot if I’d had the money because I had a hunch it was going to be a game changer and it is!

Prices have increased a bit in 2018 and they will now be selling the Ultimate Sports Bra in-person for $60 each for 1 or $55 each for 2+. It’s pricey but it’s so worth it if you can afford it! It’s my intention to phase out my other medium to high-impact sports bras as they fall apart and exclusively wear these. I’m also planning to check out the Perfect Lounge Bra and see if that could be a good option for low to medium-impact exercises.

You’ll notice in the video and in many photos that I am sporting the color Turquoise. They no longer make this or the solid Fuchsia. It’s my understanding that they have a few standard colors (Black and White) that they continuously carry and then they release limited edition solid colors and color combos that they’ll offer until they run out.

WARNING! – Please be sure that you only buy your Shefit bras from a Shefit representative at an event vendor booth or on the official Shefit website. Unfortunately, there are people taking advantage of this company’s popularity and you’ll find a lot of bootleg products on eBay and Amazon. If you don’t get your bra directly from Shefit, they won’t be able to help you with any possible issues with your purchase.
